Attorney Trishe Hynes successfully secured a pre-answer motion to dismiss in the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. She represented a government contractor responsible for installing new safety gates at the New York–Canada border.

In this case, the plaintiff tragically died after driving into a safety barrier while crossing the border. Trishe obtained dismissal on behalf of our client under the doctrine of derivative sovereign immunity.
